Venture Capital Consultant/Advisor

Overview of the Position

A venture capital consultant/advisor is simply one that brings two parties together that share a common goal.  The goal generally and ultimately is to secure a successful capital raise.  

  1. One party is the entrepreneur that is seeking capital to start or expand a business.  

  2. The second party is a venture capital firm who lends entrepreneurs money for business financing in exchange for a high rate of return on the investment or a combination of company shares and a return on investment.

 

The venture capital consultant/advisor that successfully brings the two parties together is remunerated by way of commission based on the total amount of financing that was secured. 

 

With 3Si and our funding capabilities, securing capital for your clients isn't difficult.  However, be sure to only represent clients that have a viable business concept accompanied by a completed business plan that reinforces the business concept.

 

Duties of the Position

  • Sourcing, evaluating and leading the due diligence of investment opportunities in the technology sector for our fund;

  • Helping to oversee portfolio company management and growth; and

  • Assisting in streamlining the funding process.

In addition to the stated duties, a primary focus will be on sourcing and identifying high net worth investors.  The position will have a heavy emphasis on prospecting, specifically targeting clients with liquid assets of $2.5 million or greater.  

 

The ideal candidate will be self motivated, team oriented and have a strong desire to succeed.
